The Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 is undisputedly a ski region of superlatives with 206 km of slopes and 65 state-of-the-art lift facilities in 5 ski areas. From the beginning of December to mid-April, the ski mountains Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg, Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn unite to form the snow-sure Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000.
Passionate skiers and snowboarders will then enjoy a total of 206 km of perfectly groomed slopes, ranging in all degrees of difficulty from 630 m to a breathtaking 3,250 m, as well as magnificent natural snow slopes, inviting deep snow slopes and challenging mogul slopes. 65 state-of-the-art lifts transport winter sports enthusiasts safely and comfortably to the top and lay a total slope area of 619 hectares at your feet. More skiing pleasure in one day is not possible! Insiders recommend the glacier circuit from Penkenjoch-Finkenberg via the Rastkogel ski area to Eggalm and on to the Hintertux Glacier with 15,000 vertical meters and 60 kilometers of downhill skiing in one day. The best view of the Tux and Zillertal Alps can be had on the panoramic downhill run. The snow-covered valley runs to Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach and Hintertux complete the offer.

The Hintertux Glacier is the flagship of the best snow conditions and snow-sure downhill runs. Experience 62 kilometers of perfectly groomed powder snow slopes, state-of-the-art cable car facilities and excellent gastronomy here. The Panorama Terrace on the Hintertux Glacier is located at a proud 3,250 meters, yet is accessible to everyone 365 days a year without any effort at all, making it one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Zillertal. From the valley station in Hintertux, visitors float comfortably with the gondola lifts up to the panorama terrace in the fascinating Zillertal mountain world of snow and ice. Even the ascent with the Gletscherbus 3, the highest two-cable gondola in the world, makes for big eyes!

Betterpark Hintertux:
The Betterpark Hintertux is the highest and most snow-sure freestyle spot in Austria and is one of thebest snow parks in the Alpine region. As a freestyle enthusiast, you can expect perfect jumps, a constantly changing jib setup and a half pipe here.

Slap off giant hands, jet through the big snow tunnel, into the next steep turn and on over snow waves: Guaranteed family skiing fun in the Sommerbergalm winter ski area.
- Funslope Hintertux:
Sweeping steep turns, fast-paced wave tracks and gigantic giant snails made of snow - this and much more awaits you at the Funslope Hintertux in the Sommerbergalm winter ski area.
- Flohpark Hintertux:
Located near the last section of the Schwarze Pfanne valley run, glacier bug Luis assists beginners in his practice area with conveyor belts, beginner lifts and a carousel.
- Winter hiking trail Sommerberg - Bichlalm - Hintertux:
From Hintertux you gondola with the 8er Sommerberg or with the Gletscherbus 1 through a true winter wonderland on the Sommerberg. Already during the gondola ride the view over the Tuxertal is impressive. Once you have reached the top, you will walk back to Hintertux via the Bichlalm on a groomed trail in about 2 hours. (Closure signs due to avalanche danger must be observed!)

In just 8 minutes you float with the cozy 4-person gondolas from Lanersbach to the Eggalm. A gondola exclusively for yourself including a fantastic panoramic view of the Zillertal and Tux Alps - the ascent alone is thus already the first highlight of the day.
- Skiing fun all the way down to the valley:
Finally, the downhill runs to Tux-Vorderlanersbach and Tux-Lanersbach provide the perfect end to an eventful day of skiing. With a last descent from 2300m to 1300m through the picturesque winter landscape, you will be lured out of your sporty reserve at the end of the day - skiing fun until the end is guaranteed here!

Away from the slopes, an idyllic winter hiking trail from the Eggalm mountain station to Lanersbach invites you to discover and experience nature.
- Bärenroute for kids:
On the children's ski run Bärenroute you go around the children's park, wave to your friends and finish at the Lattenalm. Big bear friends continue down to the Eggalmbahn valley station or to the ski hut.
- Eggalm children's park:
In the free children's park at the top station of the Eggalm lifts. Here in the children's park even the smallest guests experience action and adventure in the snow. At the top station of the Eggalm lifts, they whiz down the mountain and playfully learn how to ski.
Ski region Rastkogel is located on the beautiful sunny plateau. Its namesake is 2,762 m high and a hotspot for ski mountaineers and free-riders. In Pepi's Kinderland at Penkenjoch all kids and ski beginners can playfully try their first attempts on skis. Little winter fans learn the basic skiing technique in the ideal beginner's area near the mountain station!

Ski-In/Ski-Out: it can also be done comfortably! For families, but also for all other winter sports enthusiasts, the ski depot in the top station of the 10er Finkenberg ensures comfort in a class of its own. Annoying ski lugging is now a thing of the past!

Away from the ski slopes, the terrain at Penkenjoch is perfect for a romantic winter hike. From the mountain station at the Penkenjoch past the Capella Granata to the Penken and back again, it's called #winterspüren with a leisurely round.

A high-altitude holiday is best spent in Tux in Tyrol! The idyllic, sunny village is located at the end of Zillertal. You can see live weather in real time via the webcams. The Tux sportbus and Tux-Finkenberg-Shuttle transport you from village to village throughout all of Tuxertal and in winter to the next mountain railway with your equipment every day for free. Tux is located at the centre of the ski region Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000, thus being the perfect starting point for winter activities.
The municipality Finkenberg is located amidst Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000 in Tyrol. After an extensive day of skiing, the downhill slopes in blue, red or black lead you to the intermediate stations and then to a cosy rest stop or back into the valley by mountain railway! The free ski bus transports you from your accommodation in Finkenberg to the mountain railways and back. Night owls enjoy the perfect “Nightliner” service until 2.30 am between Finkenberg and Hintertux.

Harakiri downhill slope
When your eyes wander down the slope on Actionberg Penken, you can feel your heart beating faster and your adrenalin level rising! Harakiri deserves respect: It is the blackest slope in Austria! With a decline of up to 78 percent it is only suited for absolute masters.
Penken Park
Fly and jump in Penken Park at Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000! Free-skiers and snowboarders definitely won’t get bored on Actionberg Penken – it’s one of Europe’s best snow parks! The snow park can be best reached via the downhill slope at Nordhanglift from Finkenberg, the panoramic downhill slope from Rastkogel or the gondola 150er Tux. From there it’s easy to observe the pros in the park and adopt many a trick!
