The High Alps Nature Park Zillertal Alpswith 422 km² of pristine landscape can be discovered daily on up to three different guided theme hikes with the guides of the nature park. Consciously hiking in this protected area, letting your gaze wander in the impressive alpine landscape and taking a deep breath of fresh air - sometimes it only takes these simple ingredients to escape from everyday life and recharge your batteries. Our 3 summer cable cars, the hiking taxi and the free hiking bus make it easier for those seeking a comfortable alternative to reach the summit. Refreshing fun in the snow on the Hintertux Glacier
The Hintertux Glacier offers a varied range of activities for young and old between 1,500m and 3,250m above sea level 365 days a year! At the very top at 3,250m, the panorama terrace not only offers a panoramic view, but is also the starting point for all kinds of adventures: Nature Ice Palace, Luis' Glacier Bug Park, glacier tours, ...The Nature's Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier, an extraordinary gem of nature, enchants visitors. Besides frozen waterfalls and glittering ice stalactites, a sparkling glacial lake and the glacier cathedral can be admired. The largest rock cave in the Central Alps, the Spannagel Cave, is located at the foot of the glacier tongue and is another natural experience not to be missed. The breath-taking view of the perpetual ice and the surrounding mountain peaks from the panorama terrace at 3,250 m is even accessible to families with prams and wheelchairs and can be reached barrier-free from the underground car park of the valley station.
Summer time - family time
Young and old will find fun and adventure on a journey of discovery through the TUX-worlds. The various themed trails such as the world of canyons, the world of nature, the animal world, the plant world, the water world and the glacier world invite you to feel, see, understand and marvel. In the Luis' Glacier Bug Park at 3,250 m, probably the highest playground in Europe, there is guaranteed to be no time for boredom, whether during a round of snow tyre carousels or during a snowball fight - and that in the middle of summer. Luis' Glacier Bug Ball Safari in the Sommerbergalm hiking area on the Hintertux glacier is the latest attraction: exciting wooden ball tracks with numerous obstacles provide variety. To let off steam on the mountain, the “Almspielerei” an alpine playground on the Eggalm with water pond, pulling boat and raft provides refreshment. In Pepis Kinderland, the 8 m tall giant bear Pepi and a low rope course invite you to play and climb. It goes high in Pepis Schaukelparadies on the Penkenjoch. In the 1,200 m² Playarena in Tux-Vorderlanersbach, lots of fun and games are guaranteed with a high ropes course, climbing wall, giant slides, trampoline park and much more. You can cool off in the Finkenberg outdoor adventure pool.
