Hintertux Glacier
The panorama terrace on the Hintertux glacier is located at a proud 3,250 meters and can be reached by everyone without any effort. From the valley station in Hintertux, visitors float comfortably and barrier-free up into the fascinating Zillertal mountains with the gondola lifts. Thus, the excursion to the glacier is also possible without any problems with strollers and wheelchairs, and especially for those visitors who rarely come to such high altitudes, an unforgettable experience. Already the ascent with the glacier bus 3, the highest two-cable gondola of the world, provides for large eyes!
In panoramic format, a breathtaking view opens up from the Zugspitze over the Dolomites to the Großglockner. From this spot, you can also enjoy probably the best view of the high mountain nature park Zillertal Alps. Thanks to the provided Viscope telescopes with superimposed info, you are always in the picture, which peak or mountain range is currently in focus.

Playing in the snow in the middle of summer - In this fun-filled world of adventure in the snow, it's all happening when families and children try out great attractions such as the snow tire carousel, tubing track, baby lift and photo point on the panorama terrace with glacier bug Luis. Also the one or other funny snowball fight in the middle of summer may not be missing! The playground, which is very popular with children, rounds off both an excursion with the family and a family vacation in the Zillertal.

The Nature's Ice Palace on the Hintertux Glacier is a unique natural gem worldwide and an ideal year-round excursion destination for the whole family. The entrance to the ice cave is only a 3- to 4-minute walk from the mountain station of Gletscherbus 3. On guided tours, it's "Please enter!" into the wonderful world deep below the ski slopes. Visitors explore a walk-through crevasse with magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.
The cave at the Spannagelhaus (short Spannagelhöhle), is the largest marble (rock) cave in the Central Alps, is open all year round and can be explored on a guided tour. Learn from the cave guides everything worth knowing about the history, age, hydrology watercourses, cave climate and animal life of this special cave and marvel at the marble stratification,dripstones, crystals, erosion cauldrons as well as bone finds.

Explore the Zillertal with children: The glacier bug safari on the Sommerberg has a wide variety of stations in store. From water games to information boards, the glacier habitat is explored in a playful way.

In addition to the three marble runs in the grounds, integrated into the Glacier Bug Safari, Glacier Bug Luis awaits the little explorers directly at the entrance to the marble safari in a marble run tower with loops, marble crane, climbing wall and much more.

Eggalm, Tux
With the Eggalmbahn you can easily reach one of the highlights for families in the rear Zillertal. The ALMSPIELEREI invites even the smallest hikers to marvel and discover. Around the mountain station of the Eggalmbahn at 1,950 meters above sea level, a wide variety of play stations are waiting to be put through their paces:

From the beginner's tour to the challenging mountain bike route - in Tux-Finkenberg it's once again high up. Penkenjoch, Finkenberg
With the Finkenberger Almbahnen you can easily reach Pepi's Kinderland with climbing garden and swing paradise - ideal for the whole family. The highlight of the spacious area with bouncy cushions, sand play area, balancing paths and much more can already be seen from a distance. An 8-meter high playable bear made of wood, the Penkenpepi, welcomes its small and large visitors. The inside of the giant pepi is the ultimate playground for all children.
The Garnet Chapel on the Penkenjoch - What for some is an architectural jewel on the Penken in the midst of the Zillertal mountains, others appreciate as a place of contemplation and silence. The Garnet Chapel is a popular excursion destination, combined with a leisurely circular hike against a unique mountain backdrop on the banks of the reservoir.
TIP: Ascent with the Finkenberger Almbahnen, only a few minutes walk to the chapel.
